Festi'neuch 2026: taxi guide for 4 days of festival fun

Festi'neuch is Neuchâtel's flagship free music festival — four days of concerts, food, lake views and tens of thousands of visitors flooding the Jeunes-Rives esplanade. It is one of the most anticipated events in the canton. It is also, for anyone who drives, a logistical nightmare. Here is how to enjoy every moment without the parking stress.

Festi'neuch 2026 at a glance

Festi'neuch 2026 takes place from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 June on the esplanade des Jeunes-Rives, along Neuchâtel's beautiful lakefront. The festival is free to enter and features a mix of national and international artists across multiple stages. Expect large crowds from Thursday evening, peaking on Friday and Saturday nights.

The parking reality

During Festi'neuch, the lakefront area is either closed to traffic or severely restricted. The nearest car parks fill up hours before the evening headliners. Streets within a 10-minute walk of the site become congested by early afternoon on weekends.

Even if you find a space, leaving after the last act (often past midnight) means joining hundreds of others trying to exit at the same time. What should be a 5-minute drive becomes 40 minutes of gridlock.

Getting to Festi'neuch by taxi

AàZ Taxicab can drop you at the festival entrance at a time that suits you — whether you want to arrive for the afternoon warm-up acts or just in time for the evening headline. Our drivers know the access routes that remain open during the festival and will get you as close to the entrance as possible.

Drop-off and pick-up tips

  • Agree a specific meeting point with your driver for the return — a quiet street 2–3 minutes' walk from the main exit works best.
  • Save our number in your phone before you arrive: 032 724 12 12.
  • Call from inside the festival when you are 15–20 minutes from leaving, so the driver can time their arrival.
  • Saturday nights are the busiest — book your return in advance if possible.

Four days, four plans

If you are attending multiple days, a quick tip: Thursday is the least crowded day and often features some of the most interesting discovery acts. The vibe is more relaxed, and getting a taxi at the end of the night is much easier. Use Thursday to explore, Saturday for the big show.

Coming from outside Neuchâtel city

If you live in Hauterive, Bevaix, Peseux, Boudry or elsewhere in the canton, a taxi is particularly practical for Festi'neuch. You arrive at the door, you enjoy the evening fully, and you get home comfortably — no bus connections to stress about, no designated driver sacrificing the evening.
